The prices of electricity in Greece have gone up by 30% for the last three years and a half, the Greek daily Ethnos reports. The last increase came into effect on July 1st and was 7%. The total electricity expenses of a four-member family, which consumes an average of 1,000 kWh have increased by EUR 30, or 31.38% since 2004. In case consumption is 2,000 kWh, the rise totals EUR 55, or 27.93%.
