Petronet LNG First Quarter Net Falls 2% to 1.06 Billion Rupe

 Petronet LNG Ltd., India's biggest importer of liquefied natural gas, posted a 2 percent fall in first-quarter profit.

Net income declined to 1.06 billion rupees ($25 million) in the three months ended June 30 from 1.08 billion rupees a year ago, the New Delhi-based company said in a statement to the Bombay Stock Exchange today. Sales increased to 16.5 billion rupees from 15.5 billion rupees.
