Western Pa. gas prices down 2 cents

Gas prices in western Pennsylvania continued to fall this week, according to the AAA Fuel Gauge Report.

The price for a gallon of regular, unleaded gasoline this week was $2.59 per gallon, down 2 cents from last weekĄŻ

s average price of $2.61. A year ago, the average price was $3.67.

The national average was nearly $2.56, also down 2 cents from the week prior.

On Monday, crude oil prices fell to $68.85 per barrel.

Brookville had the lowest gas prices at $2.46, while Sharon had the highest at nearly $2.71.

The average gas price in the city of Pittsburgh was $2.61 per gallon, AAA found.

The western Pennsylvania region included in the report stretches from Erie to Altoona.
