Brazil consumed a total of 32,687 gigawatts of energy in November, up 6.7 percent from the same month last year, state-owned Energy Research Enterprise (EPE) said on Thursday.

The biggest rise took place in the services sector in November, up 7.8 percent. The industrial sector saw a 5.8 percent rise, while households used 5.6 percent more.

The EPE said there were several factors leading to the rises, but a fall in interest rates and the extension of deadlines for financing in Brazil played a key role.
