All ice class restrictions for vessels loading or discharging at the Russian port of Primorsk will be lifted from Friday, Primorsk port sources said Wednesday.
Port agents at Primorsk said that from Friday non-ice class vessels would be allowed to load and discharge at the Baltic port.
"Please be advised that as per Primorsk Harbour Master order all ice restrictions will be canceled as of 26th of April 2013," said one Primorsk port agent in a statement.
Last year, ice restrictions for Primorsk were lifted a week earlier on April 17. The ice class premium is the price added to freight rates for ice-class vessels making voyages during cold weather.
